Rate The Trilogy

I've always thought the first was nearly flawless until the last half hour or so. The second wasn't very memorable at all but still a decent horror movie. The third took the best elements from the other two without screwing everything up with a mediocre final act while also having the scariest villain of the series. I also believe Shaye's performance in the third is one of the great horror movie performances of the past couple decades which also helps.

Right now I'd personally rate them about
Part 1: 8.5/10
Part 2: 6/10
Part 3: 9/10

My opinion on that could change on any given day though. Regardless parts 1 and 3 are of very high quality and any horror movie fan should watch them closely.

Chapter 2 - 7.5 / 10
Chapter 3 - 5 / 10

Chapter 1 - 10/10 (it's my favorite movie so...)
Chapter 2 - 8/10 (really underrated, I thought it was the craziest of the series!)
Chapter 3 - 9/10 (arguably the scariest of the trilogy)

Insidious 2 - 7.5/10 (not as scary, but continued the story very well)
Insidious 3 - 7/10 (not as scary as the first, weaker story than the second, still good though)

Ch.1 - 9/10
Ch.2 - 5/10 -although it was interesting how it connected with the first one, it almost ruins the first movie and takes away some of the creepiness and scares with explanations
Ch.3 - 7.5/10 -It could go up or down once I view it once again. I rated Ch.1 and 2 based on at least two viewings
