im 23 years old mine was freddy vs Jason in 03 I was in 6th grade stopped at kfc along the way and got some double dippers with double dipping sauce snuck em into the theatre and nibbled on em the whole time during the movie
i haven't seen any horror movie in theaters only because all of them are rated 16+ and my parents aren't interested in horror movies so i tried going with my brother on the conjuring but they wouldn't let me in (saw it later and didn't find it scary at all) and i just hope i can see insidious 3 in theaters since it's not rated R in USA
Halloween the curse of Michael Myers. 1995. Had just turned 9 years old. What a great mother i had. Sarcasm. Not that it was a bad movie, i would just never take a 9 year old to an r rated film.
And I swear this is true... I saw a really late showing, missed the train home and had to hang out for hours with the really weird guy who was the only other person in the station.
Well, I could have gone to a diner that was open, but then I'd have had to buy stuff and have the cops who were the only patrons be suspicious of me if I stayed too long ...then back to more time with that guy in the station anyway.
If you've seen the movie, you can appreciate the appropriateness of the situation. But it was worth it! Some of the best horror imagery ever, but arguably a weak ending/explanation.
"The Grudge"...and it scared the crap out of me! I went to the 9pm showing with a bunch of friends from work and had to go home by myself afterwards :S
That was the first time since I was 5 yrs old that I had to sleep with a nightlight!

The Haunting In Connecticut was the first horror film I saw in theaters. I'm a huge Kyle Gallner fan so I had to see it even thought at that point I wasn't much into horror.
1962, I was 6 yrs. old, the theatre in our little town had a Double feature one Saturday afternoon. My sister took me to see Frankenstein (yes, the original)and Creature from the Black Lagoon. Needless to say I had trouble going to sleep for many nights. Then at the ripe age of 12, my other sister took me to the Drive-In to see Night of the Living Dead in 1968. Again with the not being able to go to sleep for what seem like an eternity.
