The sound/volume in the Insidious movies

I can't be the only one that notices all three of these movies are very quiet which is very annoying. You turn it up to be able to hear it then something "scary" happens and it gets really loud so you turn it down; it's a vicious cycle. What is the deal?

That's the only way this movie scares. Cheap scaring tactics, lots of jumpers with loud noises.

Download vlc player and enable normalize audio. Made it watchable without damaging my hearing.

I really don't know why it's so quiet. I had to turn up my volume louder than any other movie.

On Digital, it's with almost all movies and yes it's really annoying. Stick to the discs like I do

Yep this drove me mad!!

I had to turn the volume up to full blast to hear the dialogue and then as soon as something frightening occurred it was so loud I'm sure my neighbours were wondering what the hell was going on in my flat!

Bloody annoying.

Ps best thing about this film? The always lovely Dermott Mulroney!

I had to switch from my bluetooth headphones to my earbuds because the volume in the beginning was so low. They're crappy headphones, but still. I've had the volume issue with all three movies, watching on TV, laptop and iPad, as well.

To be honest, I have this problem in most new films...action ones seem the worst...mumble mumble dialogue then WHAM action music and sound effects annoying the neighbours

exactly. Insanely annoying

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

I find this in all movies, also background music and special effects noises. Or commercials on network tv!
