Please fight to end PG-13 "horror" movies!

Hi there Im an activist who has fought for many important causes including but not limited to child hunger, ending aids, cancer research and homelessness. Now I've found a cause equally if not more troubling than all of those "PG-13 Horror". There was a time when you'd never see horror and pg together but the all mighty dollar has corrupted those in hollywood. When you make a film pg you limit it by restricting art. Thats fine for certain films but not for horror.

These films are made for all the young teenagers with loud mouths and acne up the wazoo I get it but there are others in this world unlike them who would like this to stop and have it back to the old days when horror was R. Thank you for listening and help me in this fight. Now if you are one of the 14 year old people faced kids who enjoys so they don't have to go to the theatre with mommy. Well just remember you will grow up one day, the acne will fade and you might actually want quality horror. Thank you

I don't have a big mouth or acne, try again

Actually I can ;D

reply

no you can't

My ratings prove that I've seen some of them just sayin

reply

They're only PG-13 because there are no sexual senes or drug usage. Which personally, I think make a better horror movie.

reply

Also no swearing or gore, you don't need those things but its a lil more fkn realistic. If I'm in a situation where i may be killed i might say fk more than once god forbid, oh there might be a lil blood too.

reply

no one cares what you think honeychild

"Touchdoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown Auburn"

reply

But they care what you think? get a fkn life

reply

Well then, just how in the world did horror movies come into being before rating system?

The original Frankenstein, Dracula, Mummy, and many more before the ratings system started in the 60s were not "R" rated. And definitely no CGI.

Boris and Bela were not "R".

All were very popular.

Scariest one for me as a kid was Christopher Lee in "Curse of Frankenstein". Creature unmasks and I went down into my theater seat and was awake all night. I was 8 at the time.

No skin. No F words every sentence.

Still very scary at the time!!

At least for me, ratings are inconsequential. There are good and bad movies that are rated PG-13 just as there are good and bad movies that are rated R. Horror movies don't need foul language, buckets of blood, and 5 sex scenes. But on the other hand, they aren't "trashy" just because they have those things like some would have you believe. I believe that as long as a story and the characters in it keep me interested then that's all that matters.

reply

How exactly do you explain Poltergeist and Jaws? Those were PG.

reply

The PG-13 rating didn't exist until 1984.

reply

Oh yeah, maybe people should stop making all kinds of films that don't appeal to you?

This may be hard for you to hear, but believe it or not NOT EVERY FILM WAS MADE FOR YOU!

If you don't like a certain type of film then don't watch them.
It really is that simple, you whiny bitch! lol

You forgot world peace!

Or how about this, why don't you just stop watching PG-13 horror movies? You say PG-13 is only for teenagers, so clearly you are not the target audience, right? People like you confuse me, you hate PG-13 horror films yet you keep watching them. No one is forcing you to watch them. But nah, you rather act like a brat "waaah I don't like something so they should stop making them waaah".
