Mars reconstruction is stunning.

Besides the Arctic expedition this doc does back and forth with Mars. Knowing these are the actual footage from NASA it's stunning. I believe though it was enhanced with cams, textures, flairs to bring the original 2 D shots into a more vibrant 3D visualization. Very well made. Who are they going to take actual 3D cam to Mars?? I think Cameron was working with NASA on one project but they pulled of the plug for costs reasons. Too bad. This doc is plain good, very subtle.

Making this doc in 3d would have been awesome. But I guess they didn't have the ressources.

I read that it's actual footage from NASA and ESA rovers, then enhanced with 3D environmental elements (flaws, dust, cam mov etc...). Brilliant!
