Dear SyFyChannel

This sucked and we both know it sucked and we all know that you don't care and are too incompetent to do any better anyway and waiting until well after it airs to post its entry on imdb so you can avoid the immediate criticism, condemnation, and ridicule it so richly deserves changes that not one bit.

I'm starting to see a theme here with you. If you hate these SyFy movies so much, why in the world do you continue to watch them?

reply

My father used to watch politicians on TV just so he could yell at them.
Seriously though, Science Fiction means something to me. There are only two forms of literature in the world that are by definition optimistic; Science Fiction and Religious, although they both can be dystopian. Think about Star Trek; during the Sixties racial unrest and Cold War here was an example of people of different races and countries and even aliens from different planets working together for a greater future. I've read of numerous astronauts being inspired by Star Trek to choose their careers. Who is being inspired by Robocroc or Ghost Mine?
And on a personal level, I did not have a good childhood. Others got mixed up with drugs and/or alcohol. Mental illness got others. Some escaped through positive things like music, me fortunately, liked to read and had Science Fiction. Ray Bradbury and Andre Norton literally saved my life.
All this and the SyFy Channel shows wrestling on Friday nights.

Well, there you go. If the SyFy channel shows things you think are crap, there is no use watching it. I used to watch TLC, back when it meant The Learning Channel. I loved it. Now it's just a bunch of human freak shows that have nothing to do with learning anything. It pisses me off. But continuing to watch will NOT make it better, so TLC is not something I watch anymore. No use pounding my head on a wall.

I take SyFy movies with a chuckle and a few drinks. But if I didn't like it at all, I sure wouldn't watch.

Good point as well. What the heck, if God didn't want me to pound my head against the wall he shouldn't have made it so thick. :)

You do know that B rate movies have a pretty large cult following. If they get enough viewers they will keep making them. It's all about the payday. You are helping them chose to keep making these movies because you keep watching them and they keep getting paid because of it. It's a viscous cycle that only you can break.
