Disappointed

IMDb is the largest, if not the most well-known, of the websites that list information for movie fans. I know it is a self-reporting site. However, I find it very disappointing that so many film producers are failing to list their information on this website. A few recent examples include Robocroc and Invasion Roswell on Syfy as well as "The Cheating Pact" on Lifetime, and "Mystery Cruise" on Hallmark. Posting the information months after the movies air is not the solution. These networks should be providing their information for the fans on this site before the movies air. Perhaps the organizers of IMDb could do a better job of reaching out to producers and networks and encouraging them to provide complete data for the movie entries. In recent months I have found information on TVTango and other sites rather than on IMDb. What a shame!

The SyFyChannel has started waiting until well after their movies air to post its imdb profile because they invairably suck and get a crapstorm of criticism and ridicule. So they think if they wait the aforementioned crapstorm will not appear or at least be blunted. Of course if they made good movies they would not have to do this.

Then maybe you should go complain to Syfy and Lifetime.

I think T_J has a point. We live in an era where even if a movie is good, people will still illegal Down load it, & in this post-2008 global economy not everyone can waste money buying garbage. Plus, if you support garbage, they will continue to MAKE garbage.
