Uh..do YOU get out much? No one under the age of the Rockford Files friggin wears pantyhose. It was a stupidly written scene. I mean why not have the robber roll up on a horse and bang in the double saloon doors sportin' a bandana and a six shooter??
And for those of you truly disheartened by the out of nowhere turn this lighthearted stupid little show took with randomly shooting Jake, a robber in 2015 wearing a FULL PAIR OF PANTYHOSE on his head complete with floppy legs took away from the seriousness they were for some reason deciding to end the season on.

So you know everybody in the world under 43 and know 100% they don't wear pantyhose? Wrong! I'm irish/scottish descent and my legs are snow white, so once in a while I will wear them for color and yes I'm under 43. And why 43? Why not 42 or 44, or 41?

Oh for *beep* sake it was an effing joke!! Of course you can still PURCHASE pantyhose, otherwise what would those born before 1972 wear? My POINT which is still valid...is it was poorly written scene putting antiquated pantyhose..WHICH NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 43 WEARS ANYMORE...especially a young robber.

Some workplaces' dress-codes actually require women of any age to wear pantyhose. Bare legs are not an option, even in the summer, in many office or government jobs and are a part of some uniforms (flight attendants'for example), so no - you don't have to be old to wear these. Plus I see many young women, who wear them under their shorts and dresses - pantyhose make your legs look more tan and even colored. As for a robber - the show uses many old crime show cliches, maybe as a tribute, maybe not, and the robber in a pantyhose on his head is one of those. Soo many movies, shows and books did this before. Plus about two years ago actual robbers used pantyhose to rob some store, there was a viral video.
