When and why did they drop the "Diamond" from the title of the show??

In trying to find the show here on IMDB, I typed "Laura Diamond" and the show didn't come up. Then also noticed on the DVR that "Diamond" has been dropped as well. Anyone know when this happened or why?

I don't know when nor why, but that is a better title.

I was waiting for this show to come out weeks before it premiered and I never once heard of it being called "Laura Diamond". It has always been "The Mysteries of Laura" as far as I know.

Not "Laura Diamond." The full title was "The Mysteries Of Laura Diamond."

I never heard that either, so it must have been very early in the development.

I never heard of it having Laura's last name in the title either.

In the uk its only ever been called 'The Mysteries of Laura'.

Only ever been The Mysteries of Laura for me too. Was never listed with Diamond on TV and never saw it on IMDB either so I don't know.

News to me. Maybe it was a Canada or Aussie thing?
