sad they dropped Frankie!

I like Meg,,,

as others have mentioned,

"Let's change everything I liked about season 1"

now another standard procedural.

Frankie was horrid. The new character, Santiani, is super annoying. This show's only salvation was its nutty/quirky comedy, centered upon the main character's old school unconcern about trendy pop culture, political correctness, etc. This they seemed to have eliminated. So yes, "now another standard procedural" is correct.

It was rather disappointed that Frankie was transferred since I like her character. Maybe she might return for a guest spot.

I didn't like the start last year with the annoying kids. The show got better by sidelining the kids and adding Frankie. It settled into some good group chemistry by the end of last year. Now they're restarting everything with the new unlikeable captain. It's not even as good as the other police procedurals and it lost what little that made it different.

Frankie was tolerable but I don't mind that she is gone; however, I was hoping the new captain would be gone by the end of the episode too. I thought the addition of Frankie made the cast too big and all they did was replace her so there is still an additional annoying body taking up space. I hope Laura's nanny and boyfriend come back. The show's case while mildly entertaining aren't compelling enough to have the whole show centered at the police station.

I agree about the cast getting too big with Farnkie but I think the jury is still out on Santini's addition. Personally, I thought Jake being out in the field so often last year was odd considering his rank. I could be wrong since I've never worked for the police but it seems like the precinct captain is mostly a desk job with the Captain staying at the office the majority of the time. Santini may function as more of a desk job Captain than Jake seemed to. Time will tell.

I can only hope they pull a Castle. The new captain was a hard as and intolerable, but she softened and was great eventually. Judging by the actress, I'm hoping this is the route they go...

TOP 5:
1 Dominic Monaghan
2 Eddie Kaye Thomas
3 Cillian Murphy
4 Damon Albarn
5 Ewan McGregor

Nanny yes boyfriend NO. There relationship seemed forced. Besides we knew Her Ex would be back in the picture.

I never really liked Frankie. She seemed like a mixture of naïve girl and badass. I always found her character annoying.

I never liked Frankie and found the character out of place with the rest of the group. That being said, i dislike this captain even more. Ugh, another tired tv cliche with the tough female captain.

I thought for sure she'd be gone by the end of the episode and they'd bring Frankie back. Haven't kept up with the cast changes so i don't know if this is a permanent thing for s2. If so, it's really going to affect how much i enjoy the show. To be fair, i didn't like the character this actress played in Rescue Me, so i could be biased. They can continue to write her as a tough cop, but need to soften her personality toward the other cops in the dept, much like they did with Captain Raydor on The Closer/Major Crimes.

Maybe i'm in the minority but i did like when they showed Laura at home dealing with the kids and her ex showing up while she's on a date with food truck Tony. That was part of the charm of the show and i'll miss that if it's gone completely. Plus i loved her nanny.

Not sure where they are going to take the characters in S2, but i'll stick around unless it becomes unwatchable. Too bad because i really loved S1.

Fraaaank. FRANK! Get my jean bin. Susie wants my jeans.

I didn't really like the character of Frankie. I don't think the writers new what to do with this character so not sad she is gone. I however do not like the new captain and hope they tone her down a lot otherwise I will drop the show. I am fine with less of her kids and home life but they should show it at least a few times in the season just not necessary every episode. I did like the nanny so sorry she isn't in it.

I do like Jake as a detective as it makes more sense since he was in the field so much. I just hope he isn't always paired with Laura as I like her paired with Billy so hopefully they switch things up and see how the other detectives work with Jake when paired up.
