Did anyone else think Ody was gay at first?

I kind of assumed both brothers were gay until near the end, when Ody shows interest in the girl in the competition. Did the director/writer plan that, or was it that obvious he was straight. Like I said, I thought Ody was more subtle than his brother, but still gay.

Also, I think this movie would have been much better if they had shortened it a good 20 minutes. But not the scene where they're dancing- it may not have had much to do with the plot, but seeing Ody dancing in his underwear was worth the cost of the movie!!

At first I actually thought there was going to be an incestuous relationship between the two brothers. I thought about it when they were dancing and ... I think Danny at some point was watching his brother's ** while changing? I am not sure if it was done on purpose

Yeah, I was a little worried it was going to turn into an incestuous relationship, too. Besides what you mentioned, there was also the scene after they danced, when Ody was passed out and I think Danny was cuddling up to him, although that was more likely just Danny wanting to be held in a non-sexual way than an indication of incest.

I assumed Ody was straight. He seemed to enjoy Maria's company and affection.

I think it was pretty obvious that Ody turned a trick to make the money for the purchases he made on his birthday. Not to say that means he's Gay. Who knows what those boys had to do growing up with their artsy, yet alcoholic mother. Ody escaped AR 14, but Dany was left there, and prostituting himself at 15 or younger.
