I had to stop watching when Dad cleaned the house, Jacob and he ate dinner together, and Jacob's "gang" had just gotten in a fistfight started by Lance (I guess because his parents were getting divorced).
Anything you can give me would be great. I'm intrigued by the poster who said the climax came early and he couldn't wait to see the rest of the movie.
Okay I'll try and describe the ending as best as I can remember it.
Jacob and his friends broke into the house where his aunt was looking after his little brother and tried to take him away. The brother was a little reluctant to go however and Jacob was having to talk him into it. While that was taking place between the brothers the friends went into the aunts bedroom where I think they were looking for valuables or perhaps they were just checking if she was asleep. Anyway she wasn't asleep and she sprung up and hit the curly haired kid with a bat (not realising it was kids and thinking them to be thieves I guess). Lance who was troubled and a bit messed up in the head by his own parental issues then threatened her with a gun he had stolen from his dad I think. Jacob and the other friend tried to diffuse the situation but Lance dropped the gun and started hitting the other boy. Jacob then picked it up and shot Lance in the shoulder (think it was the shoulder) to make him stop. Obviously this caused a big panic and then Jacob ran off with his brother on his dirtbike and headed for the beach. Their dad soon caught up with them and it ended with the decision that the younger brother either stay with the dad (or maybe the aunt when she moves to start her new job I cant recall which sorry) and Jacob would have to go into a full time juvenile detention centre. It ended with him putting his hands up and walking towards the cops as if to finally accept his fate and take his medicine for his actions.
