Did they ever explain why Lori kidnapped carter? I get she was the egg donor but they never really clearly stated why she took her? I am a bit confused about that.

She was in love with their dad and that lead to her falling in love with her own biological children even though she didn't birth them.

Yeah it came out that Lori had an affair with Carter's dad. And the jury decided that she was a family member and therefore she was able to get out on time served.

What jury would ever side with Lori? That's unbelievable in every realm of logic.

So why did she only take Carter then? Why not take Taylor too?
Then she drugs Carter to re-kidnap her. That's not love. She's just crazy.

In her mind she was being fair by leaving them with one of the twins.

Right...what's fair is her not tracking down the family and kidnapping a child she did not give brith to. That egg belongs to the parents she sold it to. No one twisted her arm to donate the egg.
