Can't say I'm surprised.

I'm glad that it got cancelled. The premise of the show was interesting and for a while it was good, but the character of Carter was just unlikable. Plus her adventures just became unrealistic. Halfway through the second season I hated almost every single character except for Max.

reply

Ugh. They could at least give us a wrap-up movie. MTV keeps cancelling shows on cliffhangers.

reply

How big was the cliffhanger? I really liked the show in the first season. After that, the plot lines just it ridiculous (not to mention the fact that they became unrealistic). I saw the first three episodes back in October. Haven't seen any since. Are they worth catching up on or will a huge part of the story just not be co cyclists since the show got cancelled?

reply

Without giving too much away (unless you want spoilers): Ben and Max have HUGE unresolved cliffhangers. Crash has a smaller one.

I enjoyed the show for what it was. It did get ridiculous in the second season, but there were still some great moments. I don't know how you feel about unresolved cliffhangers, though. If you're looking for a good solid ending...we don't get that in the second season finale. We're left to wonder now that we know it was canceled.

how did it end? i'm curious... i used to watch it and only saw a couple of episodes of s2 and then just lost interest.

reply

Not just MTV but they're definitely bad for it!! That aside, I'm just tired of shows being cancelled with no respect to the regular viewers at all!! They should at least give us a one episode Series Finale in my opinion, seriously how hard would that be for them to do that??!!

Totally agree. Abc Family and Lifetime are both really bad about it too.

reply

Not surprised. I fell of the show a few eps into season 2. It was too ridiculous and most of the time I hated carter.

The premise was great but the writing was a let down

Great. -_-

Yeah I'm not either. First season was good but this season they seemed to be phoning it in a lot with a bunch of pointless storylines and characters, still didn't get the point of Jared or the half brother character.

It's a shame because there were some good drama and storylines happening, however they were mostly at odds with the age-group the teenagers were, and also at odds with the original premise of the show.

I definitely would have liked to see what happened next for the characters, maybe the writers/show-runners will spill the beans on the rough outline of ideas they had for if it had continued? But I doubt it.

It really went pear-shaped with them allowing Lori out of jail/psych-ward so easily, and her somehow still having guardianship powers over Carter? like WTF? And also them trusting Lori with the son/Carters Brother. Just out of the realm of realism to believe that authorities would allow this, as well as all the teenagers under 18 partying like they are in their 20's. *eyeroll*

Unfortunately, I can't say that I will miss this show much. The big reveal at the beginning of S2 was disappointing and was incoherent with S1, and after that, well, it became just another teen drama.

reply

Not at all surprised. Reruns of the first season is what got me watching but after that it just started rapidly crashing. This last season was beyond terrible.
