For me, this is Ozon's best film to date

Everything about this film worked for me, and I think Ozon deepens his artistry with every film. The immense contribution of the chameleon-like Philippe Rombi (score) cannot be overestimated.

It's so interesting to see how Ozon treads similar territory to Almodovar, and even shares a certain sensibility towards his material (freely mixing melodrama with camp), but has such a distinct voice.

I think we are very lucky to have these two masters working at the same time.
