Milking that cow
...dry! She has no remorse or understanding. I predict that a lot of fans will desert the fandom.

shareAnd this coming from someone who gave 'Fifty Shades of Grey' 10/10...
shareI agree. I was mildly accepting of this being 3 films, but I refuse to pay theater price for it being 5 chapters.
shareI may be baffled by why it's now five films, but you hear my words here and now. I WILL NEVER LEAVE THIS FANDOM
When you and your mom share the same memories of the backseat of your dad's impala...
J.R.R. Tolkien worked on his fantasy world for almost all of his life. George Lucas worked on his Star Wars universe for most of his adult life. George R.R. Martin has spent many years developing his A Song of Ice and Fire series.
I don't see the problem with Rowling working on hers. Whatever makes her happy and makes others happy. The Harry Potter series has brought a lot of joy. Now the Fantastic Beasts series can do the same.
Just saying.
shareNot even close to being the same thing.
shareHow do you figure? The Hobbit is just an extension of the lucrative Lord of the Rings. Just as Fantastic Beasts is an extension of the Harry Potter series.
Not sure how anyone can claim neither is milking the series.
Except The Hobbit was based on a book - a rather short book that they split into 3 long movies that stars quite a few of the characters from the original series and that takes place basically in the same environment. Fantastic Beasts is a new story with new characters in a new environment we haven't seen in this world before. If they were TRULY intending to milk this franchise purely to milk it they would've had a massive story take place at Hogwarts again with most of the characters returning.
As far as milking goes, Fantastic Beasts hides it a lot better than the other franchises.
She might gain some new fans.....like ME!
