Wizards, monsters, action, romance, humor, and likable characters, that all spells big box office, plus its something different as opposed to more people in skin tight costumes running amok, or Darth Vader and his asthma problem. It's always nice to have a little change of pace, and the 1920s setting is charming .
Anytime you can start off with a movie synopsis like this: " Nice guy wizard, saves Jazz age New York City from monsters." You know you have a good thing coming.
