This Movie Did Not Disappoint

I saw this on Thursday in Atlanta as part of the Out On Film Festival. This was a great debut for Mo'Nique and her husband as producers. Also, congrats to Patrick Ian Polk for another solid piece of work.

All the actors were a breath of fresh air. The movie was funny, dramatic, sweet, sexy and so much more. It had everything. I look forward to seeing more from the lead character and his two love interests as well as Gary LeRoi Gray. Gary is great in this and he was great in Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom.

I can't wait for the DVD to watch it again and hopefully see deleted scenes and other features.

Again, great movie!!!!

I just watched this again on DVD. I’m going to have to add this to my collection. I especially loved the deleted scenes as they gave more back-story to Efrem .

Again, this was a really good movie. It is so touching and moving. I swear this movie has every emotion. Kudos all around !!!!!!!!!!!!

I just watched this on Netflix. I thought it was a decent film. I wish it had opened up more about Mo'Nique's character. She obviously was suffering from a break down or some sort of mental illness due to her daughter's absence. I also wanted to see more of the dynamic between Mo'Nique and Isaiah's character. I think they had one scene together at the end of the film. Overall, it was a good effort and I have always supported Patrick-Ian Polk's work.

I wish there'd been more material for Mo'Nique. She's always awesome.
Still, I'm a sucker for coming of age movies and enjoyed following Randy's compelling story about a gay Christian experience.

Sometimes less is more when it comes to a good scene, but overall this was good movie.

You must be the director or a relative of his. This movie was awful.

Yes, that was a dream sequence.
