There is no Latino race. You have white Latinos, black Latinos, mixed race Latinos etc. Latino simply refers to people who live in Latin America.
Lopez is clearly mixed race and more white than not. The average mixed race Latinos in the US are 65% white.
Latinos as expected had significantly more Native American ancestry with the average Latino genome being 18 percent Native American, 65.1 percent European and 6.2 percent African.

shareLOL I get what you mean, but that's kind of like saying that a famous black actress appears to have white kids, husbands, parents etc... on screen in every film. Even if the actress was born and raised in the United States, her race is still black. Please don't take this as an offense, I'm not racist at all. I'm just trying to clear up what the other post was trying to say. Yes, Jennifer Lopez is technically a United States resident and her culture and all from the United States; however, she clearly looks Latina. She doesn't look Jewish, African, Asian, German or any of that. Her family is from Puerto Rico and she looks Puerto Rican/Mexican or Latina/Hispanic like many would throw out there. Kind of like how Jessica Alba pretty much plays white roles and even puts on blue contacts and dyes her hair blond, but her skin is still tan and she still looks like she has a lot of Mexican in her.

the hotter the woman, the more wealthy of a man she will attract. Let's face it there are way more wealthy white men than blacks or Hispanics. and the husband attracted a hot wife because of his wealth, not good looks
shareI agree with the OP and she's an interesting case regarding identity. Here she is trying to be white in her movies but yet in her singing career she plays up that "Jenny from the Block" image despite the fact she hasn't set foot there in years (even her car commercial that saw her going back her to her hood was exposed as a fake) and stayed with Marc Anthony and his ugly puss for 10 yrs. Sadly, I've come across a LOT of light skinned Latinas who pull that "I'm not Cuban/Puerto Rican/Argentinian/ etc, I'm European" nonsense and I have a feeling there's some of that in her psyche.

Because she's white. She's a white Latina. Latina American persons can be any race but its not a race it is an ethnic group.
The races are Caucasian, Black and Asian (Eastern and Western). And then you have mixed race persons.
