Delightfully North Carolina!

Through Chef Vivian we receive a refreshing look at the wonderful people of North Carolina and their way of life, their heritage and the culture. Her visits to the local farms and the visits with the owners is true to the area and the inhabitants of the heart of the region. Her charm is that she is true to her roots, and respectful of the generations of farmers and farm land. I have welcomed each season with anticipation, as I am sure the visitors to her Chef and the Farmer restaurant do. She is both fresh and respectful, a credit to her parents who have encouraged her. Having lived in the area and been raised by a mother who lived briefly in the area, I love the people as she does and it shines through. Her strength, as a southern woman, mother and wife is represented in a comfortable reality. I, for one, will stand in line to buy the book when it's published and will eat there whenever I am in the area. Thank you PBS for once again providing the world with a cultural experience you can enjoy from the easy chair. And thank you Chef Vivian, for letting us see a wonderful region, through the looking glass.
