What type of pictures did Donna post of her daughter?

Did anyone read the book and did they specify what type of pics Donna posted of her daughter? Were they nudes or something? Just curious.

They were pictures of Hannah in skimpy clothing, I have not read the book

It seemed to me they were suggesting that it was something more risqué than just the skimpy shorts and tops. What reality show would say those were 'unwholesome'?

They were very provocative pictures of a 15 year old in clothes resembling bras and panties. The emails that the mom received were from pervy men and she wrote back to them and charged them to view the skimpy pictures. That is pretty unwholesome.

Donna's photos were pretty provocative, but it seems that Hannah had, on her own, posted some that were even more risqué. Donna seemed surprised to learn about them when the show called her - or maybe it was that Hannah had been selling them, or both; I wasn't clear on that.

(Haven't read the book, sorry.)

donna knew about the photos, she had started the site. She was upset when the show called, because she thought the photos would be a good thing for her daughter when in fact it destroyed her daughters chances at being a star.

Donna also begins to realize that Hannah doesnt want to sing, act, or dance, she just wants money and to be famous.

Book Spoilers

In the book, Hannah goes to Chris Truby and begs him to start a new website for her pictures, because she wants her fans back. She also tells Chris she will indulge his sexual curiosities if he helps her. It's implied that Hannah will eventually become a porn star.

Thanks for clarifying; I misinterpreted her reaction to the phone call she got while in the grocery store, obviously. What you've explained certainly changes that situation, and relationship, in my eyes. Mom was being pretty pervy, herself.

well,

She was pushing her daughter to be a star and had posted some modeling photos. She then received and email from some guy that wanted bikini and skimpy outfits. She indulged the guy and he paid from them, Soon Hannah was getting fans and the mom thought it was ok, because this is kind of in the route they wanted.

It showed them. They were underwear shots. Her Mum says there were just the same as catalogue work, which is true. I don't know where the law lies on such things.

The pictures were not that bad, bikinis and the like. It was the fact that the site invited people to pay for "extras" that crossed the line. Frankly, having been to LA herself and experienced what that sort of thing might eventually lead to, I am surprised the mom encouraged her kid to that degree.

probably not nudes. those 'model' sights are a real thing. more often for much younger girls. it's a way for sick pedos to get pictures of young girls without it being illegal. often the sites are run by their parents as portrayed in the film, there's lots of money in it unfortunately.
