When Paul goes outside with the shotgun there is a distinct silhouette of a man seen through the window lurking out in the woods. Why is that? The ending surely seems to allude to aliens. The ending definitely left a lot to be desired. Like many posters have said it was lazy. The movie was going along at a nice clip and building up with some eerie, realistic occurrences then it jumps the shark when he ties her to the bed.
shareHow do you not get it. The movie was very CLEAR. The couple were being groomed by the aliens from the get-go. The beaming light into the cabin was used to lure the female lead out of the house at night without the awareness of Paul. Then she was *beep* by the alien[s] and impregnated. The organism that was brewing inside of the female lead was parasitic and was taking over her body and mind [slowly]. That is why she was forgetting her memories because the new organism was taking over slowly. She was writing down simplistic facts like her name and Paul's because she was trying to hang onto whatever memories she had before she was totally consumed by the new organism. Just because it walks on two legs doesn't mean it's human, remember aliens can be as subjective as needed. All these people on this board are stupid to think there is another angle to the movie. I mean, you didn't think the sperm pool left by the alien[s] on Bea's nightgown was clear-cut enough? People actually posted that they thought this movie was symbolism for something else other than an alien/host takeover :D
