A little convoluted yes, but this was actually GOOD! *spoilers*

*spoiler*

Finally! A decent demonic horror film since the "Paranormal Activity" series!

OK yes it was a little convoluted, it was confusing in terms that 3 actresses looked a lot alike, and the subtitles were maddeningly small!

But it was gorgeously filmed, had mostly decent acting, a plot that was not super original but was very cleverly executed with twists, and an excellent soundtrack.
The ending also did NOT fall flat, for a very nice change from the usual films of this genre.

What confused me though, was why did the patient(s) that presumably had good inside them (the woman in the bathtub at the hospital) look so 'evil'?
Was it because they were being tortured by the in-on-it staff, yes?

And just to verify: Alba & her grandfather were *freeing* the demons from the human bodies they possessed for a time, but were unable to leave on their own?
The ending seemed to indicate this, that Alba was rescuing them so the demons could join her.

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

I agree that was a fine little movie and, like you, it took me a while to differentiate between the actresses.

You could probably guess the twist a little before it was finally revealed, but yes, it played out well and was a satisfying ending.

I've sat for 30 minutes trying to reply to this coherently, but I can't. When I watched it, it made perfect sense, but I can't manage to explain it now, and it's my bedtime!

So I'll just say my understanding was that Alba and Enoy were travelling the country freeing their fellow disciples to join together for The Resurrection.

Good Night.

Not bad at all. I don't know why it's only getting a 4 rating, but then I guess it figures, the majority of posters on IMDB are clueless anyway and have no taste in films or anything else.

Yeah, Alba had been deliberately sired by Enoy and brought into the world stillborn to be the AntiChrist, the Messiah who would open the door for the demon Asmodeus. According to the Malleus Malificarum Asmodeus is one of the Kings of Hell under the Emperor Lucifer. He has 72 legions of demons under his command and his favorite color is pink. (OK, I'm kidding about that last one.)

I'll rate it at 7.

I don't think Alba was freeing demons from their bodies; I think God had somehow interfered with the possession, so Alba was releasing this angelic hold. I also don't think the hospital staff knew what was going on (other than the doctor we meet at the end). The nurses certainly did not seem to understand what was happening as the day of resurrection approached.

I wonder if the woman in the bathtub looked evil because she was possessed, but was one of these possessed people God was 'interfering with' so the doctor killed them (not desiring to wait until Alba could help).
