I hate to say it but...

This movie is a painfully great exploration of teenage female sexuality. We do not, as a society, educate girls and women as to what they should expect or what they should consent to. Hence the awful situation of a 15-year-old having an affair with a much older man, who moreover is her mother's ex. The boundaries of consent are clearly blurred here.
