Totally agree. And can I just say I absolutely loved the whole time frame of it as well - one game - just the characters and how they played and their relationships, no romances or plot twists or whatever. Really nice.

I can't believe we watched the same movie, I found the characters extremely shallow and idiotic. I thought the "acting" was horrible.
