Liked it, didn't know what I was in for before watching it. Some irredeemable characters and overall unsavory types. Sad ending and everyone ends up victims. A bit overly dreary in that respect, but the movie held my attention, and special fx were not horrible! I gave it 7 stars.

Yes quite sad, and disturbing but in a 'can't look away' Funny Games way. Where you become engrossed in what happens to the characters, and neither are torture porn, but unlike Funny Games I'm not as interested in the character interactions. Its not so much a dark comedy like that one was, where the psychopaths are all polite, and play with their victims, but so cruel in their actions. Here its more like they are being cruel in what they say they are going to do or talking about what they've done AND how they treat them, except in a few instances like the secrets part and a brief conversation in the up stairs bedroom near the safe. It also turns into a run of the mill zombie movie towards most of the second half but it did keep my attention though which is good and yeah the FX wasn't half bad. I can't rate this as a dark comedy like I would Funny Games, but more of a horror/home invasion thriller that becomes gorey then sad.
