Beautiful Scenery, Kind of Slow Movie

The filming locations were really nice. Islands. Filmed in Serbia and Rose, Montenegro. It's really beautiful to look at. I didn't mind that the movie was kind of so so because it was nice to look at the islands.

It's a typical monster story pretty much. It did have a script that really wasn't too bad, it's just that the movie felt slow and I didn't feel we got to see enough of the Mermaid.

I liked that they did follow alot of the legends about Sirens and how they lure sailors to their deaths with their song.

Could have been done better, but I've seen alot worse. I'd say it's average horror.

Gore was rather impressive, it looked very "80s". Heard the FX guy (Miroslav) is big fan of Tom Savini.

Locations was great because they are real, but I thought camera work was terrible.

acting was ... okeeey considering Serbian actors had to speak English (it wasn't dubbed).

Siren was ok, I thought she'll be worst part of the movie, but she looked fair most of the time (bit sloppy there at the end). Girl who played her was fine, she was creepy here and there (surprisingly considering she seems to be a model, not actress)

but everything else was pretty much terrible.
