Why Not The "Real" Story

If they wanted to capitalize on Pudsey's fame, why not go with something designed to really pull in the BGT crowd?
They could have done a fictionalized version of the true story.
Lonely girl gets a puppy for Christmas.
She spends all her time with the dog.
They grow up together as best friends.
He listens to all her teen traumas and is always the one friend she can count on.
They go on BGT with a routine she used to amuse her family.
BOOM they win it all and become famous.
The movie ends with the girl and dog in the line to meet the Queen after the Royal Variety.
Now how hard would that movie have been to make?
It would have appealed to kids, teen girls, and sappy BGT watchers.
Why am I not working in Hollywood?

But if they did that then it wouldn't have the Simon Cowell twist, and the chance to incorporate some fatboy slim remixed music in the mix.
