naked showering? is this normal?

is this normal in united states that a fully nude mother and her 5 years old son take a shower together?

reply

At 5 years old it's not really a big deal. It's perfectly natural. People need to stop being taboo about these things.

reply

What are you talking about?? You really didn't know that it's a perfectly normal thing to do with your young children? People nowadays are so sensitive about adults with children.

reply

It actually is quite normal up through about that age. However, even if it weren't necessarily normal, did they have a normal life for the 5 years Jack was stuck in room? No. Of course they might bathe together...they were literally living in a shack together for 5 years.

reply

Your takeaway from a film about a falsely imprisoned 7-year rape victim made pregnant by her captor is that it's awful that she bathed with the child? Are you serious? Do you not understand this film? You sound like you've been locked in a room for a few years.

reply

It was normal for me, I showered with my son up until a little after 4 yrs old. If we had not bathed together, I would have never been able to by myself. Once my son started walking, he got into everything, no way I could have left him alone for 15 minutes while I showered. Even just keeping him in the bathroom while I did, he would get into the toothpaste or other bathroom products. It was basically out of convenience being a stay at home mom when my husband was at work and keeping him safe.

reply

I'm curious, would you be OK if your husband took [naked] baths with your little daughter, if you have/had one.

reply

That happens all the time too.

It's not an abnormal thing. Why do you think it is? Parent of both sexes bath and shower with their children of both sexes all the time. I don't see why you equate a father bathing with a daughter as perverted.

Nudity is not always sexual you know. Sometimes when a person is naked they're just naked.

Do you honestly thin BTW that only males sexually abuse females? I've known plenty of boys that were molested, some by men, some by women.

Never Drumpf! Never Hillary!

reply

You make a lot of assumptions about me. Now, try to think of other reasons I might have asked that question for.

reply

Why WOULD you ask it then? There's absolutely no negative effects to a child seeing nudity. NONE.

Humans saw each other naked a long time before clothes existed. Do you think children in our nomad times were all disturbed? Hell a hundred years ago men peed in the streets and it was perfectly legal to do so, in front of anyone who walked by. Nude is our natural state. Nudists actually live longer than people that wear clothes all the time.

The reason clothes were existed in fact had nothing to do with people shielding each other from nudity, it had to do with protecting ourselves from the climate.

Do I expose myself to Children? No. I've never been naked in front of a child, and no I'm not a nudist, due to my own hang ups, but it's society that made nudity evil, not nature.

Never Drumpf! Never Hillary!

reply

Of course I would be ok with that. Why would there be any difference?

reply

You didn't actually watch the movie did you?

IF YOU HAD you would have noted that the SMALL shed/room had an open bath so that WHEN Ma and/or Jack bathed neither of the other would have a privacy for "modesty".

ALSO IF YOU HAD ACTUALLY SEEN the movie then you would've saw the scene where the two are bathing together....... PRESUMABLY WITHOUT CLOTHES.

AND, after bathing together for 5 years, do YOU "iran_metal" expect Ma or Jack to suddenly be worried about their "modesty" in their first day out of their prison?

Oh FFS,

Go watch Birth with Nicole Kidman.

What happened in that one was actually a bit more cringeworthy, then research how they did it.

reply

Mr Iran - yes it is "normal". You've posted a few times about this matter … you creep me out quite frankly as either you are incredibly young and don't understand parenting or you are looking to confirm something which is even creepier ..
