The single worst awards show of any kind I have ever seen

Last night's program was insanely self-serving, masturbatory, ego-stroking and most of all: boring. It was all about the actors, who forgot they're supposed to entertain. What a joke. The only people who did any actual difficult acting that could probably hold their own on a stage were the cast of Breaking Bad. And the Cory Monteith tribute? The guy was already a has been, third rate actor who didn't do much positive except get rich and die of a heroin. *beep* garbage.

What really irked me - besides everything - was Diahann Carroll saying Kerry Washington "better win", the insinuation being Washington "better win" b/c she's black.

Well, if you take it for what it's worth, it's just entertainment. It means absolutely nothing in the real world. Actors live in a fantasy world, are horrifically overpaid and since they don't do any REAL work, they have to pat themselves on the back with these meaningless awards shows. At least it was more entertaining this year than last. Neil Patrick Harris is quite the entertainer and the show held my interest for the duration. If you want to see actors knocked off their pedestals, then Ricky Gervais needs to host. He hosted the Golden Globes the year before last and I laughed 'till I hurt! You should check it out on Youtube if you get a chance. Really, actors take themselves way too seriously. If they had to make a living like the rest of us, they'd die of starvation. Educators, scientists, etc. should be making their salaries and they should be making minimum wage. After, what they do is just pretend to be someone else. But, I do love movies so I guess I'm just a hypocrite.
