I have read in several places how upset viewers are that CM got a tribute and Larry Hagman did not. They are citing how CM was a drug abuser and therefore an inappropriate candidate. Do people not remember how LH was not only alcoholic, but needed a new liver in order to survive? An addict is an addict. CM was young Hollywood and who knows where his talent would have taken him. LH was a talent to reckon with, but almost drove himself into the grave many times over with his addiction. Why the anger over CM vs LH?

I think it may have a some to do with the fact that Cory was a drug addict but I think mostly it at least for me, it was that Larry deserved it more. Larry is a TV icon! He has spent years on our TV screen on shows such as I Dream of Jeannie and of course Dallas. Larry has been on TV for years and was extremely talented. I don't think anyone else could have played the hell out of JR Ewing like Larry did. I cannot even picture any other actor who could play JR. Larry deserved a tribute! Cory was on a teenybopper show for what three or four years and a mediocre show/actor at that. Yes Larry drank but he was larger than life and a veteran of TV and was more than worthy of a tribute and should have been given him one. I'm sure Cory was a decent guy but no way should he have been given a tribute over Larry!!!!!
