Didn't know they had kasbahs in Afghanistan
Done with fish.
shareYes, kasbahs/casbahs are in North Africa, almost exclusively in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. A long, long way from Afghanistan. In fact Morocco is geographically closer to Newfoundland than it is to Afghanistan!
shareThought so! I love North Africa, shame it's becoming a no go area for many people, particularly for Europeans now. Only Morocco seems relatively safe for visitors, I hope it stays that way.

I am also pretty sure that tribesman in Afghanistan don't say As-salamu alaykum. That is an Arabic greeting, and last time I checked Afghans don't speak Arabic.

many, if not all moslems who don't speak arabic, pray in arabic when reading the quran. many non arabs use things like inshallah, god's willing, in arabic, it's tradition.
i mostly will not be able to answer your reply, since marissa mayer hacked my email, no notification
It's Islamic tradition and as it's well known most of the Afghans are muslims ,Basically It's a way of greeting means 'Peace be upon you' Muslims allover the world whatever their mother tongue is use..
shareThey actually make a joke about how Kasbahs aren't actually in Afghanistan.
shareHis daughter sets him straight in the beginning when he is outside her bedroom.
shareokay, so it's a joke. what's the film like btw, I'm only interested because of Bill

I personally loved this movie! it is not Ghost Busters. I think more Americans need to see this so they can see that most of the world lives in poverty and women have few or no rights. Bill was Bill. Tough guy with a heart. I think the title points out how little people know about the world in general.
shareThe truth about Kasbahs is pointed out in the first 10 mins of the film and Afghans use the Arabic greeting.
shareA Hologram for the King was a lot better.
