Re Bomber Command daylight raids.

Bomber Command actually made many daylight raids after D-Day, to the extent that some bombers received sky blue undersides. The Luftwaffe was negligible after D-Day so the main reason why Bomber Command's operations had switched to nighttime was no longer there.

Except that day bombing needed a lot of formation-flying practice that BC didn't provide and night bombing when the USAAF was day bombing added to the pressures on the German war economy, when Oboe etc made night bombing as accurate as day bombing.
