Stupid movie

I mean REALLY?!! Would YOU stay in a house after you found out it was wired and you were being watched?? It seems to me the cops should have checked the entire house over, but no, they only place ONE cop outside her home. Ridiculous and just poorly written!! BOO HISS LMN!

Anyone know what true life story this is based on? I can't find any info...

House wired= time for a hotel then alarm system after thorough scrubbing for electronics by professionals!

Plus- (sorry to keep adding replies but I recorded and am still watching) why would you only call one detective after finding dead body? Wouldn't you call 911 if you couldn't get through??

I get the feeling that either A) There is some creative license here B) They screw with things to make an interesting movie knowing they are unrealistic or C) They hire writers that are good with writing, but they write about things they've only seen on TV or whatever so they fudge what they thing is a correct legal system and since the job doesn't call for top notch writers, they let them fudge it and just use it.

Pretend something pithy is here.

This is that typical "I hear a sound in the closet that scares me but I am going to look anyway" script. Ugh....I hate that kind of stuff because we all know that if your scared in real life you "get the heck out of Dodge" and call for help and not just 1 person,... you call 911 and get a squad out to your house. What started to bug me more then anything is she was just at the police dept, and they had even been to the house earlier, but she goes into that closet that she was so scared of from her ex locking her up in it to teach her a lesson for dumb things,(this reminds me of that movie Sleeping with the Enemy with the controlling husband)but she continues by herself to explore the noses and continues to go through the scuttle hole in the top of the closet. Who in there right mind would do that? Dumb movie and I must be dumb to continue to watch it. I gave this movie a 1 star rating. I won't even go in my attic to get anything, I make my husband...lol let alone if I hear noses. This movie is a complete joke. And how predictable was the ending!!! That wasn't a question that was a yell out. They always stick a person in to steer you from thinking of who it really could be. I knew from the get go.

Haha, so funny! The only reason I started watching this was b/c I saw Bianca was in it. But there was sooo much wrong with this. Simple things that could have made the movie much better.

They made it soooo obvious that it was the ex-husband. But what didn't make sense was that he was so abusive in the flashbacks, yet the scenes at the courthouse and on the phone made it seem like they'd just decided to divorce and be friends. She seemed more annoyed by him than anything. The husband killed the best friend (as per usual) even though she didn't even come to the house w/info about him necessarily. I also didn't understand why he had to kill the technician. This movie would have been much better if Sam was gaslighting her or if she got the house, but he wanted it and was trying to drive her out.

Oh, and the title didn't match anything onscreen.

How predictable was this? In this type of movie, the best friend ALWAYS gets killed--in this case for no reason-- and a cop stationed outside a house is so stupid that he ALWAYS gets killed, so that the heroine has no one there when she really gets in trouble. When are they going to stop putting these clichés in movies?
Why was the best friend killed in this movie, anyway? She was just trying to tell Julie things she had found out about Tyler, nothing about the ex-husband. Bah!

reply

The scandal was Tyler was involved in was with Sam, her ex husband.
