you know, I was just thinking this show is the "Hitchhiker's Guide" of anime, especially the humor in the last episodes, it really gives off that vibe.

also Meow is a Betelgeusean just like Ford Prefect from HHGTTG. QT is the funny robot sidekick like Marvin, though their personalities are very different.

Intergalactic hi jinks. The story get silly and I love it: like those little guys living on the dog...awesomeness.

Dandy reminds me of Zaphod

Definetly noticed, allthough I love Douglas Adams I don't think those are his best books. I personally LOVE the Dirk Gently books, I just wish he would have lived a little longer to make a few more.
That said I still like all of his books.

This show reminds me more than anything of Lupin and cowboy bebop though. It's what I imagine would come out if they had a child.
