There is a lot of grumbling.
I watched Extant Wednesday night for the first time and I noticed there is a lot of grumbling. Nobody speaks up. They are always grumbling. Especially Goran Visnjic (John Woods). All he does is grumble.

No, I think I mean grumbling. Mumbling is just talking softly and unclearly. Grumbling is mumbling with an unhappy, angry and frustrated tone.

Fair enough....I never really noticed it myself. There was some mumbling...there was also some unhappy, angry and frustrated tones, none of which was soft or unclear to me.

I also found the music to be monotonous. That coupled with all the grumpling made watching this program very unappealing for me.
No argument there, it was hard to watch at times I agree. I Found The Humanic storyline with Ethan to be far more interesting than Molly's alien baby storyline and I like what they are doing with that this year. Season 2 as a whole has been much more interesting to watch thus far and much better written, I think. It's too bad that the first season had so many flaws and turned a lot of people off from watching this season because I think it has the potential for enough story for one or two more seasons at least. The humanic story alone could provide enough opportunity to go in different directions once the alien story has run its course.
