Am I the only one getting the "Parasyte" Vibe (Japanese manga / anime)?

In Parasyte, its also about unknown aliens who wants to "Coexist" peacefully with humans.... with a extra human killing at the side. The main character also get alien powers and he has the mission of whether to join or kill them.

Extant has a loose storyline based on that as well... Unknown aliens who wants to coexist peacefully with humans but they Initially murdered as well. The main character also get alien powers and she chooses the alien or human side.

Other than the whole Robot thing which Parayste don't have, this felt like a Live action version of it. Am I the only one..

are you talking about Parasite Eve? i have not heard of Parasyte.

Parasite Eve is about Mitochondrial dna being the monster within and taking over human body.

It kind of reminds me of Octavia Butler's Books. (Xenogenesis Trilogy). Minus the cyborgs of course.

I've only seen the live action Parasyte. Co-existence wasn't a real plot point in that, other than the central character. Is the anime different?
