What happened to the chemistry Molly and J.D. had earlier in the season?

Ever since they actually kissed a few episodes ago, it seemed to evaporate. And then in this finale, the "emotional" rooftop scene with the two of them was pretty cheesy and melodramatic. I've defended Halle Berry against charges of overacting, but here she just seemed to think if she spoke louder and more forcefully, it would show how much Molly cares.

Its the writing not halle, the same is the way she is with ethan, there was a possibility he could die but really she did not look all that bothered, there have been times when out of the blue she shows real concern for him then bam nothing

The writing was not great, but neither was her delivery.

The writing is not consistent at all. Definitely not Berry's fault.

It's not Halle's fault. They're trying way too hard because they have an A list actress.

They should be focusing on an ensemble cast and not the Halle show.

Empire had an amazing first season because of the ensemble cast for instance, but it's looking like this season it will be the Cookie show because of Taraji's accolades from it.

You can't make a show all about one single character with everyone else as the bit characters who don't really matter. Everyone else revolves around Molly like she's the sun. They have no lives of their own.

Good point.
