From the teaser title and the fact that this is the Extant board I figured she spills something about the show. I really didn't think this was going to be about her breasts.

But thanks for sharing.

Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.

It was newsworthy in that she received a lot of press... which is good for the show. And her acting in last episode was phenomenal. Brilliant. They repeated it Friday and she talked a lot about the show. And her kids. And that she hates celebrating her birthday. That was the only clip I could find at the time ... because it was "news."

reply

That's great. Still waiting for her to stop being a terrible actress.

reply

Agree, her acting in the latest episode was so bad. From the acting like she's sick while in bed to the memory lane parts.

How does a "terrible actor" win Best Actress Academy Award? I'm a long time industry veteran. I have cast actors myself when I was at Disney. Envy and ignorance is not an attractive quality.

reply

Actors/resses skills are not static they can maintain, get better or go bad and have up and down moments. The award was in 2002 alot of time has gone by since then and now.

reply

She's smoking hot and a wonderful actress but you know, haters gonna hate.

Victory is Mine!!!

And you are not aware of unfair practices????

Well SKYPOWERS I thought that the whole award business was a given due to a form of lobbying and the voting system. While I am supposing many of the, to the most of us unimportant categories may well be voted on very fairly it is not much different from the methods of electing a president which you know has, nothing to do with backing funds and again lobbying all over the nation. Snigger snigger hehehhe. Back room deals. Casting couches are suggested in the hiring of people who will do the acting so why not the awards. In all probability you may never have had the best person as president except Roosevelt and even he had many faults.

We as viewers of the ceremonies are only privileged to see brief moments from the many movies which have been short listed. Sometimes these clips do give us a clue as to the power of any given performance but how can they convey the real acting over the whole story. We have seen all too often those who give a really powerful performance loses out. Often a supporting act has outshone the so called star. For egample I know that many seem not to like Renee Zelwegger [I have found her to be an absolute treat to watch and in fact to listen to] in Cold Mountain. While Nicole is a definite pice of luscious candy she had no soul in this tale. On comes the powerhouse scene chewing Renee. Why is best actor confined to the lead role? Someone on for a relatively brief period may well have stolen the whole movie.

It is down to an opinion which may have been swayed by non relevant to the job in hand freebies or suchlike.

I have never 'noticed' Halle to make a decision as to her acting prowess. I thought that her body beautiful was a distraction enough sometimes and had been used in that way. I note that she does figure highly in the celebrity actors [the MR SKIN Web site] who are willing to be portrayed on main stream as doing all the things that the male expects from a paid sex worker.

She is at present the acclaimed first Black woman to win a major Oscar. This was well mentioned and given much press. As if she had exploded in to our world. I read she is still the only one. Was it an honest award? As I said, an opinion, and perhaps some coaxing involved. It is a divergent theme but I feel that any sport which requires a score based on an opinion should be separated from other sports which require a RESULT. Ice Skating, Diving, Gymnastics. Of course that opinion is there in Boxing and similar sports when both contestants are still standing at the end of the contest.

When an attractive [person] for me a lady, is on screen I am sorry but the acting is not always obvious. Movies like X-men do not require much ability but to stand where told to and dance in a martial arts fashion for fight scenes. Her star may well have been unjustly enhanced but she is now going to be a fading one perhaps as fast as she arrived. She is very easy to look at and I do not see that changing overly much.

Americans need to realise that super good looks are not always a requirement. But ability is. Look at Maggie Smith. Helen Mirren. Not, I am sorry, Betty Davis who never seemed to change her delivery style for me.

At least [in your world] with a Disney Pixar production we can actually see the visual interpretation of emotions and wonder brought to life by skilful animators. I did actually have that emotional throat lump at scenes from UP and the earlier minutes of WALL E carrying out his perpetual yet lonely tasks. WONDERFUL. Little dialogue of course to judge for that, but In Wreck It Ralph with Sarah Sliverman voicing Vanellope combined with the animation skill for the character this was for me out of this world and reminded me of my feelings about THUMPER in Bambi. Children of course may well lose out on the feelings the creators of these wonderful excursions to another world are trying to display/convey. Stifling tears [not easy to hide] induced by the skilful on screen representation a DRAWING combined with skilful voice over work or not as the case may be makes me realise that even the body beautiful is not always a requirement. We did after all have the 'Colour Purple'. No body beautiful on that. Sorry Whoopie and Oprah or is it GOD [bow, scrap,e bow, bow, walking backwards now, leaving the room].

The same way anything happens in Hollywood, via backdoor politics. Surely a "long time pedo for Disney" should know that.

Hallie Berry is such a lightweight actor.
She can barely get the lines out on Extant,
and she is getting too old to pull off things like
that bra ... it's is probably padded with silicone.

reply

She has it so she deserves to flaunt it. I just appreciate that she isn't looking like some skanky ho like some of these women in their late 40s. She is still classy with her sexy outfits, IMO
