OFFICIALLY CANCELED

share*beep* sake
shareI found out about this show's demise elsewhere from NBC. Can't say that I'm surprised, to say the least. I stopped watching after the conclusion of the first season where Ethan spares his life to save Molly. Ethan then, as he put it, became "everywhere" at that point. With such an ending, it had me thinking that maybe they weren't going to renew this show for a second season. But at the same time, if they were to end the show after Season 1, we would never be able to find out what happened to Molly's "baby." Overall, however, I have seen better shows, as this one just didn't seem to hold my interest after the first season. I like Halle Berry, both as an actress and person, but it seemed like she only put half an effort into this show. Maybe she'll be able to bounce back now that she'll no longer be working on it.
shareOur long international nightmare is over.
shareI sure will miss Molly and JD's chemistry...
shareThe article includes:
"CBS, Halle Berry and the producers have decided to conclude the Extant story after last season’s exciting and fitting conclusion," CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller.
I thought, and it felt like the story ended. Aliens were on earth, people were no longer afraid of them, Molly, Ethan and John's team made amends and a malevolent AI was shown the door (faking like it's John).
Straight to series summer shows really are not "cancelled", if the story "concludes" as stated in the article.

[..] as its star will executive produce a legal drama for the network.
I hope that they changed their minds and let the show have another season lol
shareIts as satisfying as masturbation is to real sex.
shareWonder if it's CANCELED canceled, or "canceled" like it was after season 1, lol.
shareOr even 'Cancelled' if you spell it how it has always been spelt until recently for some reason.

That actually depends where you are from. One '1' is the preferred spelling for Americans although two are acceptable. For the rest of the English spelling world 'cancelled' is the usual way to go.
