There's one part where they messed up.
When Walt visited his brother Roy in LA, the sign at the Vet Home he was at said Department of Veteran Affairs, Los Angeles VA Hospital. Although they had Disabled Veteran Homes and benefits for some vets at that time in 20's, there were no VA hospitals and The Department of Veteran Affairs wasn't officially founded until 1930 when they merged the Veterans Bureau, the Bureau of Pensions of the Interior Department, and the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers.

And there was actually no reason for Roy to go to the Sawtelle Disabled Veteran Home since they had one in closer in Leavenworth. They did start in Kansas, didn't they?

That's the only mistake? To me the whole movie was a mistake. Terrible dialogue, bad acting, ... Only positive thing is the pretty good production design.

There was more than one mistake - I stopped counting at 61. It is not historically accurate.
