Going to lose us the right to vote.

The Knicks City Dancers were gyrating, not dancing ... so true.

"You're going to lose us the right to vote!"

One of my favourite lines in the movie. Much the same thing goes through my head regularly, when I see women voluntarily on display like meat at an auction. Did we start getting too much respect from society, and have to take steps to reduce it a bit?

Basta, basta, basta.

I think it is disrespectful to the cheerleader job. Women judging and bashing other women's efforts is not cool.

To be sexy, to dance, to learn difficult choreographies, and to work your ass off in order to make a great spectacle has nothing to do with the right to vote. You don't know how much work and dedication a dancer/athlete has to put into it to make a living of cheerleading.

It wasn't funny, sorry. Not a great line either.

I agree; it probably does take a lot of dedications and skill. It's not their training, choreography, hard work, or athleticism I'm criticizing; it's the fact that their presentation has to include a blatant and disrespectful display of their bodies. If the point is a choreographed athletic display, why does it need to dress the female participants in a sexually provocative way? The athletes they are cheering for aren't put on display this way; does their cheering team deserve any less respect?

I think it's completely disrespectful to the cheerleading profession, and hearing it come from the unfunny protagonist slut who treats guys like *beep* didn't fit the flow of the movie. What high horse is she on to have the right to criticize other women? This line wasn't funny and the movie was even worse.

Maybe you did not watch the full movie? The whole movie was about Amy learning to respect other people for what they are and what they try to accomplish, be it Medicins sans frontiers, cheerleaders or housewives. Cue: her grand gesture of performing as cheerleader at the end.

It was a funny throw away line. The ending demonstrates Amy has developed a new found respect for the cheer-leading profession.🐭

That line was meant to be COMICAL, which it was. Why does everything have to be taken so seriously?
