And no, I dont mean her character, but it's Amy's persona and deliverance. It is the same for everything she's in. Leslie Mann or Melissa McCarthy have it.
The movie depends SO much on their natural likability, as what they say and do, might make them *beep* but there's a part of you that urges them on.
Bill Hader is wasted bouncing off such lack of this element
Yes! All the people saying "women aren't like this in real life" or "do you know any women like this in real life?" I am wondering if they are men who just haven't seen a woman with her guard down, saying what we all think on a regular basis. I know lots of women like Amy's character. They are sometimes a bit messed up, but never dull to be around. They are covering up for insecurities by being brash and shockingly extreme.

yeah, she's just not that likable in this. and she's too snobbish, and conceited. so, because of these qualities, her character is not likable. I mean, what guy would like to meet her or date her? geeze, she's a bitch and is a very mean spirited and insensitive person.
a perfect example of this is the scene where john cena is talking to her and she talks about having sex with so many guys while going out with him to movies. he's laying his heart out to her and says he was thinking about marrying her and she says, can I leave or can you leave, I'm not in the mood for this. I mean how insensitive can you get?
I feel the same about Zach Galifianakis. I can't stand him in anything he's ever done. It's basically the same obnoxious character and I never find him funny or entertaining, just flat out obnoxious.
