Do you think Italy should submit this movie to the Academy Awards?

Let me make it clear: I haven't watched the movie yet.
As an italian, I know Elio Germano is one of the most talented actors we have at the moment.
I've read everywhere his performance as Leopardi is impressive and that the movie in itself is good (not excellent but good).
So what you you think?
