Just some of my thoughts on the movie (SPOILERS)

Pros:
- Nero reminded me of KITT from Knight Rider. Even the voice and mannerisms sounded similar.
- The Mecha Shark design wasn't that bad.
- Elisabeth Rohm was damn hot.
- Good to see a returning cast member of the previous movie in Deborah Gibson.
- The mating plotline at least gave the megalodon motive for its behavior.
- I liked the withered, battle-worn look for the meg.
- Mecha Shark's "amphibious mode" was a neat idea.
- Getting the meg to kill the mech was interesting, sort of pulling a Godzilla.

Cons:
- Deborah Gibson's role was really underwhelming. She could've played a bigger part than handing out information for a couple of scenes.
- The Mecha Shark didn't seem to be all that useful. It repeatedly got its ass kicked and did almost as much damage as the meg. Hell, the end of the movie actually reversed the concept and got the meg to take down the mech because it essentially went rogue.
- For a VS film, the two combatants didn't fight all that often.
- What the *beep* was the point of the subplot with the little girl near the end? It just seemed stupid and to fill some time. The little girl was highly annoying.
- The meg died? Not that I don't believe the producers could just come up with a way for another one to appear, but the Mega Shark has kind of become The Asylum's Godzilla, if you will. Having it stay alive would seem to be easier than creating another one.
- The reporter subplot was pointless as well. Wasted screen time that could've gone to someone else that actually needed it, like Gibson or the main characters or maybe, perhaps, a longer fight between Mecha Shark and Mega Shark.
- Some of the chaos when the Mecha runs wild in Sydney is just bad. The fat guy who presumably had some building debris fall on him (I say that because you don't see anything but him falling over after the building does) was just terrible. One of the worst death effects I've ever seen.
- When Rosie (Rohm) dives into the mouth of the Mecha, where the hell does she land? It looks like she's falling into an endless abyss, but when you see the mouth of the machine, it's a flat decline with just a hole in the middle of the mouth presumably for torpedoes or something, and I didn't see her climb into there at any point. Just weird.
- Christopher Judge does his best with the material, but he just seems kind of whiny and old, no offense to him meant.
- After the air carrier is destroyed by a deflected torpedo and Rosie starts sobbing, once Jack (Judge) tells her to get back into the game, she kind of instantly obliges and that's it. There's barely any emotion or sympathy beyond a few seconds.

Cena doesn't overcome any odds. He's a wrestler with a God Mode cheat on.

The stupid little girl, the fat guy death scene, and the A-hole admiral made this movie.
