Saw the last 15 minutes of this

Okay. So today I was scanning channels, as saw the last 15 minutes of this 'film'. I've heard a lot about this 'genre', and knew going in that it was going to be garbage and that I could and would only watch these 15 minutes.

My question is - how does trash like this get made? And how exactly enjoys these films?

Ed Wood films are better. Mainly, because Wood THOUGHT he was making good movies, and the unintended humor is hilarious. Here, the producers KNOW this stuff is crap, so the humor isn't unintended. Which just makes this completely unwatchable.

Can someone tell me why they are attracted to films like this, that are DELIBERATELY made in such terrible fashion?
