Not a patch on the first

As I thought, Pat and Tony's antics 'made' the first.

I'd have liked more background on the Nortons in this one, the ending seemed rushed.

I agree, this movie is not as good as the first movie, but then it had massive shoes to fill in as far as i am concerned, considering that i consider the first movie my favourite british movie of all time. And i consider it the british version of Goodfella's.

There are too many unanswered questions in this movie, and i was hoping someone might be able to answer them for me (there were no unanswered questions in the first movie)

First question is....in this scene here

What did those 2 men do to get themselves punished and treated this way?. In one scene they seem to be friends and associates of Carlton Leaches crew, then the next second they are being treated like traitors, betrayers or grasses, and the reason is never really given.

And the ending needs to be answered aswell. A top notch syndicate/mafia leader gives Carlton Leach a chance to earn atonement, by taking a carrying case to a syndicate leader in Holland, but Carlton gets told that a bomb is in the case, and that it will explode when the case gets opened, which is why he advises Carlton to get away before it does. But all along the 2 bosses were in co-hoots with eachother, where Carlton would of been assasinated if he let the plan go through, but because he warns the other guy not to open the case, his life is spared and his atonement has been earnt.

How on earth does this make sense????. I always thought that when a crime syndicate boss tells you to do something, you do it. Not loose your bottle and rescue the other guy to earn atonement.

Also why does Carlton Leaches wife just totally forget about the other woman he was having regular sex with??. She caught him in the car with her (but Carlton didnt notice her) and she just forgets about it all just because a son he didnt know he had, walks into his life?. We never heard her ask him "is it all over with the other woman now?, cause i aint taking you back if your gonna have a mistress".
