Amazing acting, heartfelt emotion....but "Bono" was rubbish!


Was very pleasantly surprised by this biopic. Splitting it into 2 parts amplified the emotion and really gave it depth and a backstory that made what came later so very sad. You really did get the feeling that this was a closeknit group and family.

Every character was spot on...the Hutchence depiction was marvelous, right up there with Val Kilmer as Morrison, IMO.

I can't, however, ignore the dreadful depiction of Bono, brief though it was. Didn't sound like him, didn't look like him. Shocked that NO ONE involved with this came to the director and said, this Bono isn't working. It was almost laughable.

Of course, just a minor quibble with this excellent film.

Maybe it was just that nobody cared since he's in two scenes and who the *beep* gives a *beep* about Bono besides his fangirls and himself of course?
