shareWell, if you consider this, it connects to the Timmy's kids getting Casmo and Wanda as fairy god parents in the Channel Chasers epilogue from the show:
The first movie allows Timmy to indefinitely keep his god parents. At the end of this movie, Timmy becomes one, so Casmo and Wanda are reassigned. However, it turns out that Timmy's magic is only temporary, and once they wear off, he becomes human again. Therefore, he no longer has god parents, and both he and Tootie have to have their memories erased just like any other kid that outgrows their god parents. Years later, Timmy and Tootie's kids, Tammy and Tommy, get Casmo and Wanda.
