I do not agree. I didnt think she looked or sounded like a "retard". Nor do i see why you label all chinese girls like they cant control themself. In this movie there was just one girl that wanted to visit a boy she liked. I do not asume that she liked him just because he was white.

I agree, the entire Chinese aspect ruined this movie. The girl was annoying as hell, I couldn't stand her whiny voice and her whole 'cutesy' act, I just wanted to set her on fire. And the stereotypical family member pushing her to do nothing but study - Jesus Christ. Ruined what could have been a great movie.

American/British/Hollywood shows always put Chinese in a bad light light. It might be a political thing but I have always considered the use of racialism in politics by the British and Americans to be very Ugly. I tend not to watch Hollywood movies with Chinese actors in the cast to spare reminding myself of the racist attitudes perpetrated by America.
Maybe they always do it because it is a true portrayal of Chinese life. The Chinese aren't ever going to act like Americans/British. They have a different philosophy and a different work ethic and different family values and different.... That doesn't mean that a young (or not-so-young in real life) Chinese girl doesn't have feelings like a young girl from anywhere else in the world. Emotions/sex are universal and get people into difficult situations regardless of nationality. You have been indoctrinated by progressive, liberal, pc educators. Loosen up and enjoy life.
